Ross Donehower, MDSeptember 2, 2008

Dear Fellowship Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in our fellowship program. We are participating in ERAS (The Electronic Residency Application Service) for fellowships with a July 1, 2010 start date. Please visit the ERAS website http://www.aamc.org/audienceeras.htm for more information. Our evaluation of your application will be enhanced by a description of your research interests and career plans in the form of a Personal Statement.

Our training program is now a combined Medical Oncology and Hematology program that offers the option of training in either single specialty or training for dual certification. We have 10 positions in each first year class of which 8 have traditionally been Medical Oncology and 2 have been Hematology. Dual certification is available for 4 to 6 fellows each year. It is not required. The program is 3 years in length. Single specialty trainees have one clinical year (12 months) and 2 years of mentored research. Dual training requires 18 months of clinical work. Additional years are available for research on an individual basis.

Thank you for your interest in our program. If you have any questions, please contact our Program Coordinator, Nancy Rosenberg, at (410) 614-4459 or via e-mail at nrosenb@jhmi.edu.

Sincerely,

Ross C. Donehower, M.D.
